I am currently a special education teacher, educational leader, and former school board president with more than 30 years of experience serving students across Orange County. A product of California public schools, I earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from California State University, Fullerton, along with advanced degrees in special education and social sciences.

 

I have taught at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as in adult education and juvenile detention programs. For over two decades, I have served as a special education teacher, coaching leader, and department chair, mentoring new educators and supporting inclusive programs for English learner students with disabilities.

 

I also served eight years as an elected trustee of the Anaheim Elementary School District, including two terms as Board President. During my tenure, I helped guide major initiatives focused on equity, fiscal responsibility, and community engagement. I facilitated the successful passage of Measure J, a $318 million bond, by 73 percent of voters to rebuild aging schools and upgrade facilities—delivered on time and within budget.

 

I worked to streamline administrative spending and direct resources to classrooms, teachers, and student services. I helped establish a Budget Advisory Committee that reduced costs, expanded access to bilingual education, and supported arts and enrichment programs.

 

I am running for Trustee of Area 2 to ensure that public education remains focused on students, families, and teachers - NOT administrative bloat. Schools should be community-centered, transparent, and accountable, with funding directed toward improving outcomes and developing meaningful careers.

 

My priorities include empowering educators, strengthening partnerships with parents, and preparing students for college, careers, and civic life. I believe every child deserves safe schools, high-quality instruction, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
